* Choosing the right flowers.

Keep in mind that your bridal bouquet is the floral centerpiece of your wedding. Would you like the flowers to add fun, romance, personal style or play a elegant role in the theme of your wedding.
* Choosing the size and style of bouquet.

Your bouquet is meant to enhance you and your dress not be the center of attention . If your dress design is simple elegant with little accents, you have the option of choosing a wide variety of sizes and styles. If you’ve chosen a dress with elaborate detail, keep your bouquet very simple and not to large, a hand tied or round bouquet of all one flower and color will work the best. Your size always plays a very important part in deciding your bouquet style. Someone with a petite or short frame needs to stay with small/Medium sized bouquets and avoid large blooms and cascades,(for they will make you look even smaller and shorter). If your tall and/or voluptuous try a arm bouquet or cascade. If you had your heart set on a round style, by all means go ahead, just use a little larger bloom or a fuller bouquet of flowers.
* Choosing colors.

Traditionally, brides bouquets were made up of shades of white and cream flowers with lavish greenery for accents. Things have changed a lot in recent years. Not only is adding color to your bouquet acceptable, but recommended in some cases. If you are a pale bride for example, you may need to add a splash of color into your bouquet to keep you from looking washed out. Don’t be afraid of color. Keep your palette tight, choose 2 - 3 colors that you love and use them throughout for an elegant, unified look. Experimenting with bold, vibrant colors in your wedding décor adds a unique twist. Try hot pinks, oranges and bright greens. Consider sunny-yellow and deep purples, or bright-red with fuchsia. Our stick to variations of a single color, which makes for a sleek, sophisticated design. (for help: refer to our color chart.)
* Choosing a theme.

The things you want to think about is, the time of year your ceremony will take place. Bring the look of fall, winter, spring or summer into the design by choosing flowers and colors of the season. Or if your wedding day is close to a holiday you can pull inspiration from it. Location can also play a big part in your decision. For example; if your getting married outside, you might want to go with a garden, picnic or rustic theme. You could bring in your occupation or hobbies. For example: If you’re a teacher, you could have the whole apple/chalk board theme. Or if you like horses, you could get married at a horse farm with your reception in a barn or a western theme. What ever you decide, never forget to make it your special day by bringing your own style & likes into the design!
* Bouquet accents.

Family heirlooms can be woven into bridal bouquets, such as pendants, handkerchiefs, or small pictures. This is a nice way to honor someone in your life that is dear to you. It can also be your something old.
* Bridesmaid’s bouquets.

While your bridesmaids are a very important part of your wedding day, the focus should still be on you and your groom. Pick colors that will compliment your bouquet and their dresses. Don’t match the flowers and dresses color for color, this makes for bad photos. Something you can do to add a twist to the bridal parties flowers is to have each bridesmaid carry a different bouquet. You can do this by having a different flower in each bouquet ( example: one girl have all roses, the next all tulips, etc.). Or the same flower but each one in a different color, matching the paired groomsmen’s boutonniere with the same flower/color. Pulling the look together by having all the flowers/colors in your bridal bouquet.
